London Fashion Week Fall 2022

1st April 2022

In February I was pleased to have been invited back to the Oval Cricket ground in London to show my latest collection at the @londonfashionweek & @creativeth event again. My fall/winter occasion wear collection was as usual created from low impact fabrics & comprised of stunning reds, green & purple fabrics inspired by autumn & winter foliage palettes. The collection comprises party dresses & two & three piece outfits designed for special occasions & red carpet events.

I love using silks primarily for their superior quality, as with this soft green sand washed silk which is sourced from an ethical supplier. The beautiful red sequin fabric is a remnant piece & this was used completely on this look with nothing going to waste, making use of the pieces from the cape to make rosette embellishments for the dress hem.

The stunning iridescent green & purple fabric was ex designer deadstock remnant lame' & has a fabulous sheen. This drape party dress creates a soft silhouette over the body. This has a playful self bow trim detail on the cuffs and back of the dress.

Here I have created a draped hooded style party dress with this beautiful jungle green satin deadstock fabric.

I think this is one of my favourite designs of the collection with it's ruched bodice and off the shoulder sleeves. This little black party dress is made from a very crisp black silk dupion also sourced from a deadstock supplier, making the pieces limited edition.

Here I have created a two piece look from the the remnants of the previous dress. The top was made entirely of diamond shaped pieces which are self lined & joined together by hand with a selection of beautiful unusual buttons!

This two piece outfit is made from coordinated colours of green  deadstock fabrics with red contrasting tassel trim which was inspired by the 1920's show dresses.

Purple satin is just such an opulent looking fabric for any style dress! I wanted to create a simple shape but a style which would make the most of this fabric in movement with a full skirt.

The top of this outfit is created from diamond shaped remnants from a couple of the other styles in the collection & sewn together like a patchwork fabric in an exploration of using smaller pieces of fabrics to create less waste.

I finish with this sophisticated black three piece suit made from a beautiful black crepe, silk lame' & remnant from the collection which again has it's inspiration from the 1920's with a black matching tassel trim to add a subtle touch of individuality!
